textile TAFA (textile and fiber art). TAFA

Instead of my usual coup de Coeur I’m very thrilled to take part in a TAFAchallenge. The international Textil And Fiber Art association
is grouping amazing talents (such as Lori Zimmerman, Inkyspider and Leisa Rich already featured
here). To get to know each other better and to show off the bunched power of our
group we are proposing to do a TAFA TOUR with us.
To jump on our TAFA-Tour and see who is involved this time have a look on

Personnellement
I myself have the honor to introduce Canadian artist Arlee BARR :
Artwork Arlee Barr - stitched poetry
Describing herself as “curious, eccentric and a little opinionated” Arlee
BARR developed her very own way of painting with threads (machine and hand stitching).
Her art work built up on “found” and hand dyed fabrics. With stiches she
illustrates personal stories and thoughts turning often around the human body
and the microscopic world.

I feel connected to her collage inspired work and
her use of words – seems we have a bit the same fascination of combining forms,
symbols and letters…

Continue your Tafa tour by visiting for example my big favorite : the
portrait about Renate Kirkpatrick-> Rensfibreart presented by team leader Rachel Biel.
Wow! Lots of new pieces that I hadn't seen of Arlee's. I love her work, too. It was interesting to see that how she holds the piece she is working on. I always use a hoop, but this looks more comfortable. I'll have to try it sometime.
RépondreSupprimerI use Google Chrome which can translate other languages automatically and it was really funny to see how it translated what you said compared to your English version.
It's so interesting to see how members see each others work and I liked how you connected the two of you, who work in such different mediums, into similar explorations. Great job, Ariane!
merci pour cette découverte ! c'est beau !
RépondreSupprimerA beautiful profile! Enjoying the TAFA tour!
