Very proud
of being a TAFA member (Textile And Fiber Artistes association), I decided to
give you a guided tour through this amazing group of talented fiber artistes in
a regular chronic entitled "TAFA insights".
C'est tout naturellement que j'ouvre cette chronique avec une artiste feutrière que j'adore: Felted Chicken alias Chrissy Mahuna.
It’s just
natural to me to start with a felter I love:
Felted Chicken alias Chrissy Mahuna.
Chrissy travaille à Hollywood dans l'industrie du divertissement en tant que sculpteur.
Elle a collaboré à des films à grand budget comme "Land of the Lost" et "Star Trek 2" , réalisé des sculptures pour des parcs attractions à thème comme "Nemo" et "La petite Sirène" et travaillé pour des artistes comme Katy Perry, Elton John et le Cirque du Soleil.
Chrissy works
as a scenic sculptor on projects ranging from big budget movies like Land of
the Lost and Star Trek 2, to theme-park rides like Disneyland’s Finding Nemo
and Little Mermaid, to large musical stage shows for performers such as Katy
Perry, Elton John, and Cirque du Soleil.
Cette expérience hors norme est mise à profit dans son travail personnel - des sculptures feutrées extraordinaires.
Her
professional experience influences her amazing personal work: amazing felted
sculptures.
